Medical Expenses Reimbursement System
Provided by The association of International Education, Japan (AIEJ) *sponsored by Osaka city
Awarded to All college-student visa holders at Kansai College
For students studying for more than one year, the national health insurance must be applied for. In the event of a medical problem or accident, the national health insurance will cover 70% of the medical expenses. In addition to this support, the Association of International Education in Japan (AIEJ) offers a medical refund system for international students. In this system, up to 80% of the medical fees you paid at the hospital will be refunded upon application. For example, if you paid 2,400yen at the hospital, 1,920yen (80% of 2,400yen) will be refunded.

Subsidies for National Insurance Premiums
Provided by International House Foundation Osaka *sponsored by Osaka city
Awarded to Any Kansai College student who has a college-student visa and lives in Osaka city
If you have a college student visa and insured yourself, you will receive a legal reduction for insurance fee around 10 – 50 % as an international student who does not have a certain income. In addition to this, students are eligible to receive 500yen each month as subsidies from the International House Foundation Osaka.
